A crypto startup that I have been working with, called Picante, is a company aiming to help crypto startups, small businesses and DAOs stay on top of their accounting and bookkeeping as they straddle the line between fiat and cryptocurrency. As many organizations begin using crypto as a legitimate way for payments, compensation, expenses and invoicing, there is a now a growing need for these companies to track their transactions and stay compliant. This is especially challenging as traditional bookkeeping systems do not have integrations built-in for DeFi and CEXs wallets. While all transactions are recorded on the blockchain by default, putting it altogether in reports for an accountant can be a nightmare. I was hired to help design Picante’s core product and pretty much everything that comes with their brand. To begin with, and over a period of a few months, I designed and continued to iterate on the tool, including main dashboard, assets and transactions tracker, reporting and all admin functionality that comes with a comprehensive system such as this one. This was done for both desktop and mobile over a period of time and we will continue to iterate and add new features.
